Purpose of this website
This website is published by Lalrinngheti Sangsiama, an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi, and describes Lalrinngheti Sangsiama Chambers, which is being established in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, in 2026 and is not yet an operating chambers. It exists to provide information about the advocate and the chambers and to make certain legal material more widely accessible. It is not, and is not intended to be, an advertisement, a solicitation of work, or an inducement of any kind.
Nothing on this website should be read as a claim of specialisation, of superiority, or of any particular result. No representation is made as to the quality of any legal service, and no comparison with any other advocate or chambers is intended or implied.
No legal advice
The general content of this website — including anything in the Writing and Law in Mizo sections — is provided for information and public legal education only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied on as such.
Legal material is stated as it was understood at the time of writing. The law changes, and a page may not have been updated. A summary of a judgment or of a statute is a summary; where it differs from the original text, the original text governs. Advice can only be given on the facts of a particular matter, and only after engagement is confirmed.
No advocate–client relationship
Reading this website, corresponding with the chambers, or sending information through the intake form does not create an advocate–client relationship. Information sent before an engagement is confirmed is not protected as a privileged communication would be.
An advocate–client relationship arises only where the chambers has reviewed the matter, completed a conflict check, confirmed in writing that it is able and willing to act, and the terms of that engagement have been accepted. Until then, the chambers is free to decline the matter, and need not give a reason for doing so.
Deadlines are not protected by contacting the chambers
Submitting a matter through this website does not stop time running. Any limitation period, period of appeal, hearing date, notice period or other deadline remains the responsibility of the person bringing the matter until engagement is confirmed in writing. If a deadline is close, act to protect it, whether or not the chambers has replied.
Links to other sources
Where this website links to a judgment, a statute or any other external source, it does so for convenience. The chambers does not control those sources, is not responsible for their content or availability, and does not endorse them.
