Consultation

Book a consultation

A consultation is a first conversation of about half an hour, to work out what a question involves and whether the chambers is the right place for it. This page asks for a few details and the times that would suit you. It does not hold a time: the chambers runs a conflict check first and then confirms a time by email.

Before the chambers opens

Lalrinngheti Sangsiama Chambers opens in 2026. It is not yet an operating chambers. A consultation asked for here is received for preliminary review only. Asking for one does not create an advocate–client relationship, and no deadline is protected by it. For enquiries: office@sangsiamachambers.com.

Part one About you

The chambers confirms the time by email, and writes to this address.

Optional, and with the country code if you give one. The time is confirmed in writing to the address above; a number only means the chambers can reach you if the email does not arrive.

Only if you are asking on behalf of a business, body or organisation. Leave it blank if you are asking for yourself.

Preferred language

For the conversation and for what is written to you.

Part two Times that would suit you

Give up to three, at least one. A half of the day is enough — nothing here books anything. The chambers reads the request, runs a conflict check, and then writes to you with a time, or tells you that it cannot act. A date within the next 60 days can be given.

First preference

Second preference — optional

Third preference — optional

Part three What it is about

A sentence or two. This is not the place to set out the matter — that comes later, in the conversation or through the matter intake if the chambers is able to act. Please do not send confidential documents by ordinary email, and do not attach anything to this request; it takes no documents.

Up to 600 characters.

Optional, one name per line. The chambers runs a conflict check before it can agree to talk about a matter, and it can only check names it has been given.

Up to 10 names. Naming someone here records them for the conflict check only; nobody is contacted.

Part four Before you send

Each of these must be acknowledged. They are the same acknowledgements the matter intake asks for, and they are not formalities — they describe exactly what has, and has not, happened when you press send.
